The 7 Major Benefits Of The Presence Of God

A continuum with the Presence of God theme this month (previous post). We now have identified what the presence of God is and how to connect with Him in this presence. Next is understanding that the presence of God is there for our BENEFIT😃.
God wants to bless us 🥰
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32, NKJV). The plans He has for every one of us is not of evil but of peace to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). God is a gracious God! 🙌🏾

There are 7 major benefits of the presence of God we will be exploring today.

In the presence of God we have:

1. Life
“Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.” (Acts 17:25, NKJV)

Genesis 2:7, NKJV
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”

God is the one who gave us life from the beginning to the present and even the reason we will wake up tomorrow is all by His grace and power. He is the giver of life, and in His presence there is life.

Psalms 91:16, NKJV
“With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
God is the only one who can prolong our lives. This verse ties in perfectly into the next benefit🤗

2. Salvation
He will show us His salvation. As mentioned in the last post, the divine plan of God to send His only begotten son to die on the cross for our sins (John 3:16) and through this not only did we obtain a right to salvation, to connect with Him again as His children (John1:12), but everlasting life.

John 10:9, NKJV
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
Through salvation, we have access to better things, to God’s blessings that He wants to give us, in all areas of life, health, wealth, education etc.💃🏾🎉

3. Works of God
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33, NKJV)

This applies to us as the children of God in His presence we must proceed to do our father’s work, just as Christ also did God’s work (Luke 2:49). When we do the business of the Kingdom of God, we don’t need to worry about other things, for EVERYTHING ELSE and yes EVERYTHING ELSE! will be added unto us. This really shows the value God holds on those who do His business here on earth. “19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” (Matthew 28:19-20, NKJV)

This doesn’t exclude also performing signs and wonders, healing and miracles (John 14:12) (Mark 16:20). The presence of God allows us to do such works in Him.

4. Healthy relationships
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5, NKJV) and (Jeremiah 29:11)

The Lord has planned and ordained good things for your future, in His presence you can depend on Him, cling to Him and trust Him that He will provide someone for you far better than what you had imagined. God is a provider of healthy relationships👏🏾✨.
In this category, there are also supernatural gatherings – where God’s presence is there and great things happen (Matthew 18:20). He is there when His people gather in agreeance.😍

5. The power and capacity to build and achieve
“16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:16-19, NKJV)

Just as Peter was given power in the presence of God, so will we be given the power to build things for the glory of God. For some of you, it may be to build churches, ministries and other businesses that will glorify Him and any other sort of building. Moreover, whatever we bind or loose on earth will also bound and loosed in heaven🤯. That is real power!💪🏾 And this verse also blends well with the next benefit.

6. Defence, protection and victories

“…and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.(Matthew 16:18)
With the presence of God, we have His protection as we do His work and we build for His glory and in these things we have victory. (Joshua 1:6) This is one of my favourite verses as it assures us that in His presence we have to not fear for He will be with us and He will never leave nor forsake. People, families, even pets may leave you but God will never leave you.
Here are more verses on his protection, defence (Isaiah 4:5, Zechariah 2:4-5)

7. Eternal states

This is our ability to be able to receive that eternal life to be with Christ at the end of days. And no one can get there unless through Jesus Christ, that salvation through receiving Him (John 14:1-6)

For all those who fill in their hearts that they want to receive Jesus, be in the presence of God and receive all these blessings.
You can do what we call a sinner’s prayer to receive Him (sinner’s prayer)
and once you have done this belief in your heart that you are saved.🙏🏾✨

Also, message me if you have and I will be happy to guide you on the next steps.❤️

ROCK, FORTRESS, SAVIOUR

Seems like COVID-19 has taken a liking to planet Earth and is not going anywhere anytime soon😤. Since this pandemic, I have gotten a lot busier😵 or maybe to better suit a lot more distracted🤫 and sulking over the fact that pretty much all my plans have been ruined😩😭. Furthermore, there has been more chaos around the world on top of coronavirus, I mean give us a break 2020😪. I think I can speak for the majority when I say COVID-19 we are sick and tired of you and its time for you to pack your bags and leave! 👉🏾💼 👋🏾

Okay, before I get carried away ranting😝, the purpose of this post was to encourage somebody today. During this week as I was doing my usual sulking, I was reminded by the book of 2nd Samuel that our trust is in God. David sang a song to the Lord when he was given victory over his enemies and it was a song that expressed his faith and trust in God.

“Then David spoke to the Lord the words of this song, on the day when the Lord had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. And he said: “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.” (2 Samuel 22:1-3, NKJV).

This passage encouraged me to have faith in God and that even during this pandemic the Lord is our ROCK, our FORTRESS and our SAVIOUR, He will deliver us🙏🏾✨. Moreover, God will continue to strengthen us and protect us in this time as His children.

Today instead of focusing on how COVID-19 has ruined our lives lets sing this song of David and already declare our victory because our faith and trust is in God.

NOTE: you can read the whole of 2 Samuel 22 but it was rather long to add all at once so here are some verses that inspired me.

Praise for God’s Deliverance
“Then David spoke to the LORD the words of this song, on the day when the LORD had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. And he said:
“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
The God of my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
My stronghold and my refuge;
My Savior, You save me from violence.” (2 Samuel 22:1-3, NKJV)

“In my distress I called upon the LORD,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry entered His ears.” (2 Samuel 22:7, NKJV)

““He sent from above, He took me,
He drew me out of many waters.” (2 Samuel 22:17, NKJV)

“He also brought me out into a broad place;
He delivered me because He delighted in me.” (2 Samuel 22:20, NKJV)

“For You are my lamp, O LORD;
The LORD shall enlighten my darkness.
For by You I can run against a troop;
By my God I can leap over a wall.
As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the LORD is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
“For who is God, except the LORD?
And who is a rock, except our God?
God is my strength and power,
And He makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer,
And sets me on my high places. ” (2 Samuel 22:29-34, NKJV)

I don’t know what you are going through during this pandemic but I hope this encourages you to trust in the Lord God who is your rock, fortress and saviour.

The Spirit Of Fear

FEAR. False Evidence Appearing Real, a saying that caught my attention when I first heard it. I began to question why do I fear? what is it that I fear? 🤔

Fear is something we formulate in our minds, things we convince ourselves are real and a great threat to our living being. THAT’S CRAZY RIGHT! Like why does our mind have to go and play us like that?😤Haha but sadly that is the truth about fear and the power of the mind. Isn’t it written, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7). This is why even inspirational/motivational speakers stress on the topic of personal development and creating a positive mindset (but this is a conversation for another day☺️).

Think about what you fear the most, I know everyone has many fears and we toss this word around a lot like a ball. However, have you ever really sat down and thought, what is my BIGGEST fear? and why?

What are the actual thoughts that lead you to believe this is your greatest fear? If you come up with the answers please let me know.

Even myself I struggle to think why I fear what I fear😩. It has become a norm to accept what we fear as a way of life, like yea this is who I am, I fear this and that.

Well here is the funny bit, wait for it…

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear…” (2 Timothy 1:7).

Fear is a SPIRIT, WAAHHHAT🤯 I know but stay with me though. Fear is a spirit that takes a hold on our minds, puts a blanket over our eyes and makes us believe in a reality that is not the true reality that God has placed for us. This spirit likes to come in slowly and discretely, it will keep feeding you fear slowly and slowly that by the time you realise what’s going on it’s already taken hold. This is when it becomes very difficult to break.

Today I challenge you to look at your life? what are you fearing right now the most? I know even with the coronavirus there is a lot of alarm and fear and this is the perfect playing ground for the spirit, but I want you to sit down make a list of your top 3 fears, acknowledge them, understand them by asking the question at the beginning of this post.

And I want you to decide to make the necessary steps to break that fear.

During the coming weeks, we will be going on a journey to breaking fear. 💪🏾💪🏾

Happy Anniversay!

You can believe my surprise yesterday when I saw I had a notification from WordPress. I thought “gee it been a long while I wonder what it could be🤔”. It was a happy anniversary notification celebrating 7 years with WordPress.
I was beyond surprised 😱, 7 years when the Lord planted all this.
I started to reflect…what have I achieved in these years? why did I suddenly stop? and why have I been afraid to come back?

Fear is easy to form but hard to break. Fear of the unknown is what sometimes stops us from taking risks, starting something new or even being open to change. It came to my attention that fear has had me for a while now…

Have you ever stop doing something for so long and kept thinking I should get back to that, but began to fear that maybe you’re not as good as before or it won’t be the same as last time? because can relate. Fear and doubt complement each other, when fear creeps in we start to doubt our capabilities, the talents that God placed in us and we suppress them.

The funny thing is no matter how many times we hear this sometimes it takes certain moments in our lives for this to click, for us to realise what we are doing to ourselves. It’s very true what they say “our biggest enemy is ourselves”. I came to a realisation of this as the ‘verse of the day’ alert came on my phone with a verse which reminded me of how fear has managed to make me delay the things God has put in me to share.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

We shouldn’t be wasting time fearing men, fearing what the world is going to think of us🙅🏾‍♀️, who should be fearing God and doing what He has called us to do, as each individual.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but it’s time you too break out of your fear shell. It’s time to stop ignoring the calling inside you, you are worthy and you are capable. For it is God who has installed the gifts in you.✨

I know it’s not an easy ride but you don’t have to go through it alone if you feel like this join me on this journey of breaking lose of fear and rediscovering one’s self. If you need to contact me feel free.

Well, stay blessed the most stylish way possible, being the you that God made you to be 😊

Pop That Bubble

First of all blessed Sunday everybody!

Let me start by saying this week was not the greatest😫.

Ever been in that position where everything seems to be going wrong in every shape and form. Then when you think it’s all over that’s when the biggest bombshell of pure misfortune happens. Yeah… that was me this week🤦🏾‍♀️.

During these moments it’s so easy to get lost in yourself. You become so consumed by your situation and thoughts that you end forgetting the world around you. Moreover, if you’re like me and love having full control over your own life then these situations become hard to handle. Sometimes you even lose your way, your clarity and it becomes hard to grasp a clear vision. If you’re nodding your head or saying yes, keep on reading👇🏾.

These type of situations are hard especially if you are a Christian like me because not only do you lose sight of yourself but God. It becomes harder to pray, seek God and even be grateful because all that is consuming you is stress and misery.

Okay, but how does one even overcome this ?!?

Listen, sometimes it’s not about you it’s about something bigger than you. What I mean by this is that we need to poke a hole out of our little bubble and focus on what matters, what God has called you to do. And for those who still don’t know what that is this is the perfect time to seek God for answers. These are times for less YOU YOU and more what YOU can do for OTHERS.

In these times I like to take a step back and think what is it I do for others that not only pleases God but brings me the greatest sense of accomplishment. And for me, it’s reaching out and encouraging at least one person, knowing I’m drawing someone closer to God gives me the greatest joy.

“Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10, NKJV)

You’ll be amazed at the realisation that the real blessings are not in what we have but what we give out to the world. This is enough to eradicate all stress and problems✨.

So what is it that God has called you to do for others?

Let’s put ourselves out of the way as the new week begins and let’s do more for others around us. Trust me your week will go from 0-100 real quick💯.

Stay blessed in the most stylish way possible, being the you that God has made you to be!❤️
