The 7 Major Benefits Of The Presence Of God

A continuum with the Presence of God theme this month (previous post). We now have identified what the presence of God is and how to connect with Him in this presence. Next is understanding that the presence of God is there for our BENEFIT😃.
God wants to bless us 🥰
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32, NKJV). The plans He has for every one of us is not of evil but of peace to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). God is a gracious God! 🙌🏾

There are 7 major benefits of the presence of God we will be exploring today.

In the presence of God we have:

1. Life
“Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.” (Acts 17:25, NKJV)

Genesis 2:7, NKJV
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”

God is the one who gave us life from the beginning to the present and even the reason we will wake up tomorrow is all by His grace and power. He is the giver of life, and in His presence there is life.

Psalms 91:16, NKJV
“With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
God is the only one who can prolong our lives. This verse ties in perfectly into the next benefit🤗

2. Salvation
He will show us His salvation. As mentioned in the last post, the divine plan of God to send His only begotten son to die on the cross for our sins (John 3:16) and through this not only did we obtain a right to salvation, to connect with Him again as His children (John1:12), but everlasting life.

John 10:9, NKJV
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
Through salvation, we have access to better things, to God’s blessings that He wants to give us, in all areas of life, health, wealth, education etc.💃🏾🎉

3. Works of God
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33, NKJV)

This applies to us as the children of God in His presence we must proceed to do our father’s work, just as Christ also did God’s work (Luke 2:49). When we do the business of the Kingdom of God, we don’t need to worry about other things, for EVERYTHING ELSE and yes EVERYTHING ELSE! will be added unto us. This really shows the value God holds on those who do His business here on earth. “19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” (Matthew 28:19-20, NKJV)

This doesn’t exclude also performing signs and wonders, healing and miracles (John 14:12) (Mark 16:20). The presence of God allows us to do such works in Him.

4. Healthy relationships
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5, NKJV) and (Jeremiah 29:11)

The Lord has planned and ordained good things for your future, in His presence you can depend on Him, cling to Him and trust Him that He will provide someone for you far better than what you had imagined. God is a provider of healthy relationships👏🏾✨.
In this category, there are also supernatural gatherings – where God’s presence is there and great things happen (Matthew 18:20). He is there when His people gather in agreeance.😍

5. The power and capacity to build and achieve
“16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:16-19, NKJV)

Just as Peter was given power in the presence of God, so will we be given the power to build things for the glory of God. For some of you, it may be to build churches, ministries and other businesses that will glorify Him and any other sort of building. Moreover, whatever we bind or loose on earth will also bound and loosed in heaven🤯. That is real power!💪🏾 And this verse also blends well with the next benefit.

6. Defence, protection and victories

“…and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.(Matthew 16:18)
With the presence of God, we have His protection as we do His work and we build for His glory and in these things we have victory. (Joshua 1:6) This is one of my favourite verses as it assures us that in His presence we have to not fear for He will be with us and He will never leave nor forsake. People, families, even pets may leave you but God will never leave you.
Here are more verses on his protection, defence (Isaiah 4:5, Zechariah 2:4-5)

7. Eternal states

This is our ability to be able to receive that eternal life to be with Christ at the end of days. And no one can get there unless through Jesus Christ, that salvation through receiving Him (John 14:1-6)

For all those who fill in their hearts that they want to receive Jesus, be in the presence of God and receive all these blessings.
You can do what we call a sinner’s prayer to receive Him (sinner’s prayer)
and once you have done this belief in your heart that you are saved.🙏🏾✨

Also, message me if you have and I will be happy to guide you on the next steps.❤️

The Sweetness Of A Thank you

My heart was full of joy and my day was made brighter all because of just one statement “Thank you”☺️. How do you feel when someone thanks you? For me the past few days, I have been thanked unexpectedly for unexpected things😳. If you’re like me, I don’t know how to act when I am thanked, I’m rather very awkward 😅 and just simply end up thanking them for thanking me🤣🤷🏾‍♀️. However, at the same time, I can’t help but be filled with a sense of joy😊😁. I bet some of you feel the same when thanked for something, it really just makes your day and you fill more positive and all in all in good vibes for the rest of the day🌸✨. So can you imagine how sweet our thanks is to God?

The sweetness of a thank you has the power to change one’s mood and course for the day. How does our thankfulness to God change His mood? does it give Him that sweetness?
As I began to wonder about this, something happened, I was reading my daily bible scripture and surprise surprise it was a passage on praising God.

David’s Song of Thanksgiving
“On that day David first delivered this psalm into the hand of Asaph and his brethren, to thank the LORD:
Oh, give thanks to the LORD!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
Talk of all His wondrous works!
Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD!
Seek the LORD and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!” (1 Chronicles 16:7-11, NKJV)

“For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised;
He is also to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the LORD made the heavens.
Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and gladness are in His place.” (1 Chronicles 16:25-27, NKJV)

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.” (1 Chronicles 16:34, NKJV)

This caused a smile on my face 😏 I knew God was talking 😊because not only did it show how great God is but it also showed the importance of giving thanks to God. I think it is safe to say that the notion of giving thanks to God is mentioned multiple times in the bible and is a standard practice for a Christian to give thanks to God. But how often do we do this?

Especially now when we are facing such hard times in this pandemic. If you’re like me living in Australia, it went from fires 🔥 and floods 🌊 to a pandemic 😷 , I mean seriously! Who has the time to be thankful right?😰

In times like these, we are more inclined to question God as to why such things are happening🧐🤨. We become very consumed with our current situations 😫 trying to find man-made solutions when the key to our victory is in Him😲.
Would it then not be easier to trust God and give Him thanks through the good and the bad?🤔

Let’s dive a bit into the evidence of thanks (offering/sacrifice) by the Israelites that was a sweet aroma to the Lord.

“And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.” (Genesis 8:21, NKJV)

“I will accept you as a sweet aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you have been scattered; and I will be hallowed in you before the Gentiles.” (Ezekiel 20:41, NKJV)

“and you make an offering by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering or in your appointed feasts, to make a sweet aroma to the LORD, from the herd or the flock,” (Numbers 15:3, NKJV)

In these passages, people were giving thanks to God through their sacrifices and offerings and these were SWEET aromas to God, it pleased Him. And this provoked action from God. Firstly God promised never again to curse the earth. The others swayed God time and time again to forgive and save the Israelites and to keep His promise that He made with Abraham.

Giving thanks is a sweet aroma to God and it causing blessings in many ways.
Now I’m not saying give thanks expecting to get blessing back, no🙅🏾‍♀️, simply just give thanks to God sincerely showing your love towards Him and trust in Him🙏🏾🙌🏾.
These sweet aromas will allow God to work in our lives and continue to bless us even during these times.

I encourage you all today for the next seven days can you give thanks to God, not asking for anything but just recognising Him for who He is and giving thanks.

Okay I know we cannot sacrifice animals, make fires and offer them as they did back in the day but we can offer our thanks to Him through our lips.

“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” (Hebrews 13:15, NKJV)

Note: To make it easier you can start on Monday or Sunday whenever your week begins and give thanks to God for the whole week.

10 Bible Verses Glorifying God

Glory to God in the highest🙌🏾🙏🏾✨

This week God has been so good in my life that I just felt an overwhelming sense of glorifying Him. Glorifying about who He is, what He has done and what He will do😩🙌🏾. I don’t know if y’all get like this too but the feeling are so real 😭

Glorifying God is an important part of a Christian’s life and God is very pleased when we give Him his due praise. We sometimes get so wrapped up in our lives and situations that we end up only praying about what WE want and OUR needs and forget to thank God on what we already have and what HE has already done. That’s why it’s important to set aside even a day to just give God glory, praising Him in prayer and song ✨ .

Prayer: Can be telling Him who He is by referring back to what the word (the bible) says about God. And glorifying all the goodness He has done on earth and in your life.

Song: Singing praises unto Him and worshipping Him. These songs can be ones you know that really emphasis on who God is and how great He is.

Here are 10 Bible verses glorifying God that will help you to understand the importance of glorifying Him and also can be included in your prayers and songs.

  1. “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31, NKJV)
  2. “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.” (Psalm 34:1-3, NJKV)
  3. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21, NKJV)
  4. “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” (Hebrews 13:15-16, NKJV)
  5. “And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying: ‘By those who come near Me, I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people, I must be glorified.’ ” (Leviticus 10:3, NKJV)
  6. “O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants, You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?” (Psalm 8:1-4, NKJV)
  7. “I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.” (Psalm 18:1-3, NKJV)
  8. “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1, NKJV)

  10. “You who fear the Lord, praise Him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And fear Him, all you offspring of Israel!” (Psalm 22:23, NKJV)

Stay blessed the most stylish way possible, being the you that God made you to be 😊

Be Strong And Of Good Courage

Scenario: You are with your friends and you are a very strong Christian and they are not so much. You begin to discuss the bible and they starting speaking of how it’s fake and not real. What would you do? What would you say? It’s easy right now to say yea I would totally speak up and defend the word of God. Educate them about the importance of the Bible, and how it is inspired by God and since God words are the truth “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”(John 17:17) then the Bible is true. Well, this might be the case for some but for others, easier said than done.

When alone you imagine you can and might convince yourself this is what you would do. However, when it becomes a reality you can completely switch up and find yourself afraid and silent. In a society where we desire to belong it can be hard to defend what we believe in. We become so afraid as Christian to talk about Christ, to spread the good news. We become so afraid of the outcome, what will they think of me? We become afraid of rejection, what if they walk away from me? We are afraid of not belonging.

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”(Deuteronomy 31:6). We are sent as children of God to go and minister the word and bring souls to Christ. Nevertheless, Nobody said it was going to be easy, It comes with fear and weakness. That’s why we need strength and courage from God to get us through. Knowing that as His children He will never leave us nor forsake us, we should not fear anything. “I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.”(Joshua 17:15-16). We should understand that we do not belong to the world anymore but we belong to Christ, who is not of the world. This gives us the good courage to minister to others, the God-given courage to do what He has sent us to do “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”(Mark 15:16). SISTERS! BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE. Stay blessed!

Are You STUDYING or MEMORISING?

Now that you know the purpose of the bible it’s important to know how to read and study the bible. Many people believe the bible is like reading a novel, but a matter of fact this just lowers the value of the content in the bible. It’s more than just memorising verses and knowing what happens in it. To really benefit from reading the word of God you need to know what to do before the reading, during the reading and afterwards.

Before
There are a few things you need a BIBLE, pen and paper/notepad and most importantly prayer. It’s essential to pray before you read the bible to allow God to open up your eyes and reveal to you His word. There are 3 critical points to pray about:

1. The Holy spirit – The Holy spirit is the helper who is sent to teach you “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”(John 14:26). The holy spirit has the ability to guide you and teach you of God’s word, revealing to you the deeper things of God. “But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”(1 Corinthians 2:10)

2. Revelation- you need to pray for a personal revelation of what you are about to read because the way we understand the verse is always different to another person. With a personal revelation, it makes it easier for you to keep that word in your heart and act according to it.

3. Ability to apply the verse in your everyday life – This is important to do every time you sit down to study the word of God. This is the key because at times we just read and understand but never act on the word. But God wants us to act on it. To BE like the people He wants us to be, not to just KNOW what type of people He wants us to be. So, always pray that what you learn you may also apply it in your everyday life.

During
DOT IT DOWN: When you find a link between the verse/chapter you are reading to another verse or chapter in the bible, dot it down. If you have a new understanding of that chapter/verse then you need to dot that down too. I suggest also writing the date, that way when you read that chapter/verse again and you get a clearer understanding then you can dot down your processes. This is something that really helped me and I found myself remembering more of the bible than I did when I wasn’t writing down ideas and thoughts everytime I read the bible.

After
Thank God for the reading and pray for more understanding as you meditate on it during the day/week. Make sure after a long reading to go over your notes so you remember better the key points you learnt and might want to pray about during that week.

I hope this has really spoken to someone and touched them and helped them on how to go about reading, studying and understanding the bible. Stay blessed!

“In the beginning was the word, the word was with God and the word was God.” (John 1:1)

Knowing Yourself, Knowing Your God

The bible is known to be the word of God, yes? But you’ll be surprised how many people don’t know the PURPOSE of the bible. The bible is not only for us to know the word of god, it is more than that, it’s not just about showing us the way we should live, it’s more than that. The bible reveals to us about ourselves and makes us know God and the way he works. It’s the foundation of our connection and communication with God. That’s why it’s essential to know the bible

As mentioned above there are 2 key things you understand from the bible are:
1. YOU and who you are
2. GOD, who He is and who He is to YOU

Let’s focus on the YOU first.
When we receive christ as our personal saviour we are no longer the person that we were before christ, we are made new. We are no longer of the world but have become part of the children of God. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). With this, we need to be able to understand how the new us works and functions. Just like when you get a new technology device you read the manual to understand all the functions. That is what the bible is to Christians, it is a manual for ourselves. You get!

Okay, 2nd part, God and who He is to You.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1). It is critical to understand this because when we know God we begin to understand the purpose he has for our lives, and we can get to know God by reading his word (the bible). God is like the tools used to make us, He is the one who assembles us, makes us to perfection and fixes up all the loose knobs in us. However, how can we allow God to fix and build us if we don’t trust and understand how he functions? Like a mechanic, if He doesn’t understand His tools how will He know which one to use to be able to fix a problem. Just like us if we don’t understand God and who He is to us then how can we know how to pray to him to ALLOW Him to work on us.

Understanding this will enable us to study the word of God more efficiently and benefit from what God says more. Stay blessed!

If you don’t know yourself then how can you know God
